Terra Firma Environmental, Inc. – installers of erosion control and soil stabilization products – was established in 1990. Prior to that, I had been in the geotextile/geomembrane (liner) sales and installation for five years.
Through the years of sales and installation of these items, it became clear that there was a need for specialty tools and items to aid in performing a quality installation.
I tested many different things for that purpose, and over time created a “specialty tool kit” of sorts that became a vital part of our installation supplies for any geotextile/geomembrane project that we performed.
In 2012 we launched the Industrial Supply Division of Terra Firma Environmental. Here we provide to our customers the Liner Repair items that have been proven to be essential in giving the owners of our numerous and various projects a superior end result of the product we installed, whether it was a liner – or a geotextile – of various different types.
Over the years, we have been contracted to repair previously installed liners that have been damaged due to misuse of equipment, accidental damage, animal damage, vandalism, storm damage, or environmental stress that an exposed installed liner incurs over the course of time.
Not everyone has the necessary equipment and experience to perform an “extruded weld” type of repair to a damaged liner, but some may still want to perform the repair themselves. It is for this need that I have put together our Specialty Liner Repair Tool Kit which most anyone can use by following a few simple directions.
All of the products and tools listed on our website have been field tested and proven to perform far above expectations. The repair to an existing damaged liner can be done by following easy-to-read-and-understand directions. When these directions are performed correctly, there should be no future problems from that repaired area of the liner for many years. The repair should also satisfy any agency or person that might be concerned about liner-damaged areas that were in need of repair.
